What this site does not do
This site sets no cookies, uses no tracking and loads no third-party content. Fonts, stylesheets, images and the site’s two scripts all come from this domain: the light and dark switch, and the script on the AI hacking incidents page that draws the timeline and runs the filters. The latter loads only a data file from this domain and stores nothing in your browser; the chosen filters appear in the address bar.
Light or dark
The site follows the color setting of your operating system. At the bottom right you can choose something else. Your browser then remembers this one choice in the local storage of this site, under the name thema, with the value hell or dunkel. It is not a cookie. The value is never sent to the server, and nobody but you can read it. As long as you do not use the switch, your browser stores nothing. You can delete the value like any other site data in your browser settings. No consent is needed: section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG permits storage that does nothing but carry out a function you explicitly asked for.
Server log data
The hosting provider ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, stores data in server log files on every request: the requested address, date and time, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, referrer, browser identification and the IP address of the requesting computer. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). The hosting provider deletes the log data according to its own rules.
